Thread: newbie here... first rifle almost done

    newbie here... first rifle almost done

    how did i do? all i need is optics and a flashlight... for a flashlight i plan on running a surefire x300 in front of the front sight post... and for glass im thinking the vortex viper pst 1-4x24 with ARMS qd mount... again this is my first ever go around... here's what i have...
    gun - colt LE6920
    rail - DD omega x 12.0 w/ magpul ladder rail cover in FDE
    stock - vltor imod in FDE
    sights - standard front post and troy flip-up rear in FDE
    grips - tango down bg-17 and stubby QD vert both in FDE
    sling - BFG vickers padded
    also installed a magpul alum. enhanced trigger guard and using magpul p mags...

    heres a pic....

    Rifle looks good.

    In would be a shame to top that gun with a Vortex in an ARMS mount.

    I'd look at this instead.

    i seen his in some shot show videos and was very intrigued, but in both videos i watched i thought it said they were only available to law enforcement only... is there some ways around that? if so this is what i will go with..just thought it wasnt possible i guess...

    The way "around" it is to click the link and buy it when it's in stock. Or buy it here for $10 more.

    It's not an LE-only product, it's an LE-DEALER-only product. Most of your "tactical gear" dealers are going to be LE dealers.

    Great build.. I like the vortex for an spr build. But i agree with rob some sort of red dot whether it be Aimpoint or Eotech would serve you better with that build.

    If something is legal for civilians to own but the manufacturer sells it as LE only, you can almost always find a dealer who will sell it to civilians. Just look at the right side of your magazine well for proof.

    You'll be well served by the PRO, then all you need is a white light. Since you have the rail, might look into a X300 or TLR-1 setup, or the ever popular G2 LED in offset mount.
