Got my Vortex VMX3 today. VERY impressed. With the Primary Arms raised flip-to-side mount it looks great. Perfect visibility with my Eotech EXPS3-0. Crystal clear glass, too. And take that from a photographer!

Did it not cowitness with the Aimpoint due to the type of mount? IE, if I use a LaRue flip mount on this magnifier with a LaRue riser on my Aimpoint, will that work?

    Very interested!

picked one of these last week...Awesome .. i had a eotech with samson FTS mount and sold it after realizing that a $450 x3 mag was just to much IMO..What I wanna know is that there is adjustment knobs on the top and side as if I was trying to zero a red dot etc..What is that for??

those are to center the red dot in the magnifier. You still get your zero from the RDS, but to center it perfectly in the magnifier, use the knobs.

I just got one of these VMX3's as well. AWESOME is all I can say.

I did have to take an exacto-blade to the bottom of the rubber sleeve in order for it to clear my ARMS buis . . . not a big deal.

And it's friggin heavy, this thing. I think that's the nature of the beast though. Can't imagine the EOTech one is feather-lite

Saw the reviews here about the Vortex VMX3 so I thought I would pick one up. Called Vortex first to see if the swing mount would interfere with the MAGPUL folding sights. The guy said it would work, so I ordered one. Received it the other day and the glass on it is real nice (I’m a photographer too). The problem is that when it’s mounted, the magnified doesn’t swing past the MAGPUL Gen 1 back-up sight and is hard to push past the MAGPUL Gen 2 back-up sight. E-mailed Vortex, but they haven’t responded yet. Vortex customer service gave me the wrong info, and now won’t respond. I would prefer and “I don’t know” next time so I don’t waste money. I’m going to have to go with the Larue mount and throw the Vortex mount in the drawer. Like I said, the glass is clear – we’ll see if it stands up to some abuse.

So would that magnifier work in a Larue flip to the side mount?

    Dolf,

I'm sorry that happened and that we haven't gotten back you yet. Emails often get caught by our spam filters (we get a lot of spam). We'll take care of you. Please call us at 1-800-426-0048.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Thanks VortexSam for the reply. Ms. Squire from your organization contacted me about my problem. She said that if I return the Vortex mount, she would cut me a check even though I purchased the product from B & H in NYC. You guys know what customer service is about. I heard your quality is great also. If it is, when I get the bucks together, I’m looking forward to purchase your Razor HD 1-4x24 for my 6.8 SPC. As for SilentReaper66, I contacted LaRue. They said that their Tactical QD Pivot Mount LT755-30T will work with the Vortex VMX3’s 30mm tube, and have the proper co-witness. After I get the mount, I’ll “bang” the Vortex and LaRue around and see how it works. It seems heavy duty so I’m sure I won’t have any problems.
