Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.
I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Here's a .308 gasser I just finished a few weeks ago. My idea was to put together an "ultimate utility-rifle" chambered in a full-powered cartridge. Short enough to be a good bush-gun. Long enough to land hits at braggable distances. A good scope with an illuminated reticle and mag-range that can be dialed down to run close-in for thicker terrain or dialed up for open country. Basically a be-all, do-all type of semi-auto rifle.
-LaRue lower
-Stag upper
-Odin bcg, Vltor charging handle
-Geisselle SSA trigger
-Ergo fat grip
-Criterion 18" 1/10 mid barrel
-Superlative Arms adjustable gas block
-BCM mod 1 comp.
-SLR Rifleworks ION Lite 15" rail, Battle Arms finger hook - handstop thingy
-Vltor Emod buttstock, Vltor standard RE, Tubb AR-10 spring, standard LR-308 buffer
-Leupold VX6 2-12x42 with firedot, LaRue 104 mount.
-Troy backups
-Surefire 300 w/an Arisaka offset mount.
Total weight is about 13lbs. She's a fat chick. But, I just do an extra pushup every morning.

recent fun build
aero upper, lower, lpk, adj gas block, bcg, centurion rail, kak barrel, dead air brake
accurate, reliable thus far, and not too heavy
last 2 shots the target moved as it was windy and I didn't have my stand brace and I tried to time it but no success on those those two. Was using DAG surplus

POF Rogue 16" with a fair number of modifications... Runs great with the Riflespeed gas block at the (middle) "6" setting. Just a hair over 9lbs empty with scopes and light, no mag.
I love this rifle.
