    I learned Hoch Deutsch and later learned to speak Hessen "farmer" German. Whenver I went to Switzerland I really struggled to understand them, though it was dependent on where I was at.

    In Basel their not as nutty as other parts. Austrian also kicks my ass sometimes as well.

    Just about everyone speaks English anyway. Switzerland also has French, Italian, and Romansh as official languages, really depends on whether you're in the northern, eastern, or southern part of the country as to what you'll hear.

    in some ways..
    as i understand it CCW is pretty much a no go in switzerland though.

    It varies by Cantons just like it does here in the U.S. You can get one though.
