Actually the only thing I really built was the lower. It a RRA with a DD LPK. I started out with a BCM 14.5" barreled receiver.

Put it on "Safe" and take it to the range!
Nothing Ghostman. Go shoot it till something breaks, replace, repeat.

Nice build! Another vote for a sling here.
VTAC sling (I love the ones I bought at their green sale, because I finally got some with padding) and a lot of ammo!
Oh, and a flashlight if you're going to use it for defense.
