    Russian Single Point Sling

This is a pic of Russian soldiers carrying their AK-103 rifles slung with the standard sling rigged in a one-point configuration (thanks to VA_Dinger and LAV for the pic)

As shown, it is not a good solution. However, if the sling is looped around the opposite shoulder, it is definitely workable. I must admit I was rather shocked. One-points certainly have their drawbacks but this arrangement is actually more stable than that typical one-point.

I need to experiment a bit more. It is an option, though, and an inexpensive one at that.

That looks like a very workable set-up if all you have is the issued AK sling.

I would imagine that not all AK slings would be able to do that. The Russian slings are by far the longest AK slings I've used and would be ideal for that set up.

    ...just something to think about.

Actually the regular AK sling works just fine - it's where the sling swivel is located that makes a difference. This arrangement will only work with the Krink or AK-100 series stocks that have the attachment point inboard on the buttstock.

    Maybe they are left handed

    Then the setup looks fine
