From my small frame of referance getting a accurate upper is less of a challange than getting a reliable upper. Take this test group fired out of my first low budget experaments with precision AR's:
Entry DMR build
15 rounds sustained fire (i.e. I was holding the center of a 3" orange mirage blob) while coming off the gun between shoots because my 8 year old daughter wanted to GO NOW! Just over an inch at 100 yards including fouling shots out of a oiled barrel. Barrel by ER Shaw, upper by... wait for it.... Model 1 Sales!!!! Factory reloads from Blackhills.
I recently retired that rifle (with upgrades) for a set of Noveske's. A SPR and a Light Carbine, both VIS. I haven't bothered to do photos of the groups lately. Customer service and known relablity/durablity are what the main stream of this board look for first. BCM, Noveske, Colt, Knight, LMT, LaRue, ect..... provide that known qualtiy. Thus they are highly reguarded in this board.
Noveske SPR before paint
The ventures of some of the high end pistol makers into the AR world are sometimes just odd, with some parts apparently picked for profit margin vs. utility.
Choose the combination of features that you want from a proven brand and then get good with it. Select good ammo to feed it with, attend some classes and if you are out shooting it, then look around again. Start chasing your Unicorn later.
