BCM is just willing to tell you that they have no clue how the heck you shoot personally, and moreover they have no idea what bells and whistles folks are gonna be slapping on their upper/rifle.

Claiming accuracy is really dishonest in my book, so much should go into an honest claim and it's such a case by case basis that I am getting pissed off even talking about the illegitimacy of the practice.

So I'll end it on a good note and commend BCM's honesty.
I agree with your statements however I do have products that perform to what the manufacture said they would, if they don't they will make it right....I just want to be sure for that price point I am buying quality....I have several BCM products and been very happy with them which is why I have been looking at their uppers. I wonder who is making their barrels?

Good grief. Talk about fanboyism. So everyone is lying except the mighty BCM. Give me a break.

I hope this thread does not turn into a flame war or brand x is better etc etc...I am looking for people who have real world experience with uppers that meet or exceed my needs/expectations.

    thanks guys!

No fighting really. But the fact remains. If accuracy is what you are looking for you need to concentrate on the barrels. When you look at barrels dollar for dollar you would be hard pressed to find a better barrel Then a Lothar Walter LW 50. Go look it up read about it. I think you will be well served

I will!!! This is the kind of stuff I am looking for...I asked Bravo who is making their barrel on a $1200+ upper and they would not say....I would hope it is Douglas etc but who knows. I am at the point that I am half tempted to buy all the parts and have it built...I would like Krieger type quality etc.

    +1 for White Oak Armament.
Bought a 20" stainless Krieger barrel and had them assemble an upper for me, nice shooter.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion one way or the other however in my experience the use of the word "fanboy" in posts leads to more threads locked than not. Let's keep it civil gentlemen.

This is the direction you need to be looking in. Shop barrels and forget brand name uppers for now.

That being said....of all the brands that have popped their heads up it's the La Rue that has the best chance of what you are looking for

Agreed and I do know better. It's just sometimes the comments one reads in these forums leaves you struggling for the proper adjectives.
