I took a look at an Eotech for the first time ever a couple days ago at a local shop. My astigmatism made the reticle a blurry mess. I could make it out but I had to concentrate on the reticle rather than look through it. I could probably use it, but only if I had to, and the range would be rather limited. I do see the appeal of the reticle if you have better vision than I do, but I still don't care for the battery life compared to an Aimpoint. I also didn't like the buttons on it.
