Under 26" it's a pistol you can't have a VFG. Can you have an AFG?
Over 26" it's a "firearm" it can have a VFG. Can it have a sig brace?

The BATFE letter I saw specifically addressed the Franklin Armory XO-26. However, in the description, it indicated that it would apply to any similar weapon, which would be any AR pistol with an OAL greater than 26". So far, it appears that the LE types have not bothered the folks posting pics of their AR pistols with SIG brace and VFG.

I measured a friends POF pistol that had a 7.5" barrel and it came out to 23" from the end of the muzzle break to the end of the buffer tube. I was planning on a 10.3-10.5" MK18 type build. I'm thinking with the 10+" barrel it will be at least 26".

I'm doing a 300blk 8" pistol build, any recommendations on a rail 8-9" that would not cause interference with a specwar suppressor? I'm open to keymod, mlok, tube or even the standard 4 sided rail.
ETA;
Using low profile gas block, no fsb.

Why? Over 26" it's considered a firearm. There's no law that says a "firearm" has to have a stock on it
