The measurement must be from the end of the barrel to the end of the stock/receiver extension. This measurement does not include any length added by a muzzle break, etc unless it is pinned to the barrel.

Hey! well, the Red Dots, I hate to admit, are China Eotechs. they actually work pretty well considering these are high recoil weapons. they hold a zero pretty good. ok for the fun guns that these are. the 7.5 inch has a Crimson trace laser up front and the 10.5 inch has a Sightmark laser i took off a Sightmark Red Dot sight and modified it to be rail mounted. it's working good as well. these are a blast to shoot.

SVA,

I am currently running the Bushnell trs-25. It's a cheap red dot however I'm surprised how well it has held up.

I have kept it on (running) for over 4 months straight without any loss of brightness and also haven't had any zero shift issues. As of right now it's filling the bill and I am enjoying my first pistol AR. I will be swapping out the trs-25 with an aimpoint micro later on.
