Just built today

Finally finished minus opic.

Upper: Spikes 11.5" lightweight
-Magpul MOE handguards
-Magpul MOE cantilever rail section with Surefire Scout M600 (painted for my BCM middy) and also have a TLR1S that I'm trying to get used to.
-Magpul MBUS rear sight
-BCM gunfighter mod 4 charging handle
-Rainier Arms mini comp
-Paracord loop for ITW CLASH hook attached to BFG Padded Vicas

Lower: Spikes factory complete pistol lower w spikes tube and T2 buffer
-Troy pro grade sling attachment point (other end of vicas as QD swivel)
-Magpul MOE K2 grip (phenomenal angle for tucking in arm for shorter pistol lop)
-MOE trigger guard
-Sig SB15 brace

It is simple perfection. Shoots as well as my 16" BCM bfh middy and balances like a dream. I want to file down the points on the comp a bit and add a vfg, but other than that I think this one is done.

Aimpoint PRO added - put a fork in her, she's DONE!

First AR I built entirely from bare components. I'm at 630 rounds down range. No Issues thus far.





Upper:

BCM upper receiver

If I were to do it again I'd change only the buffer tube and would have gone with the KAK gen II.

While I would prefer an SBR, this option is almost as effective and doesn't require a tax stamp with the associated cost/wait/paperwork/travel restrictions/inheritance/engraving/sale issues. Now that the issue of shoulder firing has been addressed, almost a no-brainer. The two pistols I was considering adding to my trust and sending for SBR both have these braces on them, and I get to enjoy them while the ATF fiddle-farts with the online system. I think a lot of people are going to agree.

I think as long as it's legal there is virtually no need to stamp... Other than cosmetic reasons.
