BATFE's "Project Gunrunner" Scandal

We all feared BATFE would return to their Clintonesq ways. To the leftist radicals running the WH the ends(AWB) justifies the means. What a tragedy for the Border Patrol Officers family and many others.

I think they over-played their hand on this one. Congress will take an ounce of flesh before this is over I predict.

Sad thing is I know a couple of ATF agents and they are good people and they are not out harassing legit gun owners but going after people like Hells Angel types. I have had good dealings with the tech branch too. I hate to see them get tarred by association with the clown-shoe brigade.

My admittedly very limited observation is there is a lot of varation in management quality in the ATF depending on what region they are in.

Your right. Its shame the actions of a few bad apple tarnish the reputations of the rest. It was good to see some of the dissent among the ATF agents made public. Gives the public a little bit of confidence that things aren't totally out of control and that someone is looking out for their interest.

I would be delighted if ATF and DEA were merged into the FBI, or just disbanded and their duties passed to the the FBI. The FBI seems to be much better run, IMHO.

I'm wondering what kind of involvement the gun store had in the investigation. I have shopped there in the past and it use to be a great little shop. They kinda turned into assholes recently.
