Trijicon has had mine in their possession for about 3 weeks now and I haven't heard a word from them about it. I'm also pretty unimpressed with their service.
It was a fairly minor issue - the focus ring would move under recoil. Over the course of 30 rounds, it would move from where I set it, about 1/4 turn. As a bodge fix I put a Butler creek end cap on it, which effectively locked the focus ring to the tube and stopped it moving - but you shouldn't have to bodge fix a $700 scope IMO, so I sent it in to Trijicon. I heard nothing for 4 weeks. Sent them an extremely polite email to inquire - no response. Sent them another, still very polite email a week later....again no response. Called in - was advised they would get back to me. No call back. Called in again....was told scope was on the way back to me. Great! - I thought, finally - but have just received scope back with a note "Your scope was tested and is functioning normally, no work carried out". Un-effing-believable - they had it 6 weeks, and did nothing. Did they even read my detailed note of the problem? Round 2 is about to commence - but I am out of town now all week and so can't send it back to them this week; so yet more time wasting, and more time without this scope. Not that it matters now, because as soon as I finally get it fixed/replaced I'm selling it - I want nothing more to do with them.

Disappointed in hearing that some are having issues with their Trijicon TR24's.

On another note, if Trijicon would provide a reticule similar to the Viper PST's.......

Wow! I guess it's a good thing I don't need my TR24 back any time soon, I can only imagine how long they're going to have it if they actually have to do some work on it.

I wish you luck CC556 - please let us know how you get on. I would very much like to believe my ongoing problem is one that fell through the cracks, rather than typical representation of their customer service (but I'll still not be buying another of their products personally...once bitten, twice shy and all that).

I also like to think every cloud has a silver lining, and in my case I think it did/does - being without my scope forced me to shoot a carbine match with back up iron sights - and I did rather well! - and secondly, it turned me on to Vortex, and having had the TR24 gives me something to use as comparison - it is pretty obvious to me that the glass in the Vortex trumps that in the TR24 - IMO the Vortex is approaching ACOG clarity glass; I found that with the TR24, although good, is not quite to that standard. Considering the Viper PST is $500, it is quite an achievement, I think.

    A plug for Vortex CS.
Vortex Sam prowls this forum, and promptly responded to a question I had. Long story short, Vortex shipped a replacement PST as soon as they had confirmation that mine was in transit, and paid shipping both ways! Classy outfit.

I myself am also in the market for a 1-4x scope with a LaRue mount for around 500-600.

    My current choices are.
    Leupold 1.5-4x20 Mark AR
    Nikon 1-4x20 M223
    Millett 1-4x24 DMS

This is going to be mounted in a LaRue mount on my mid-length 16'' BCM and will be used for plinking, 3 gunning, and a good amount of hog hunting. I have a light on my AR so I don't know how useful a illuminated scope will be right now.

I do plan to pick up a Trijicon at the next LaRue Range Day or at Christmas after I save up for it.

Out of those 3 anyone have some remarks about them?

As mentioned previously they WILL take care of there customers, & the battery compartment issue is being addressed. I can't wait to have one in my hands.
Get back with us when you actually own it.
