Thanks for the reply. Just installed it without the O ring. Way too tight. Once chambered the round the BCG got stuck, could hardly pull the bolt back. Once the round ejected, you can see the extractor "ripped off" some brass from the round. Had to convert back to the "blue" set up. What gives?
Fire it and see how it does before changing it back. If it gives trouble leave the black insert in and the higher power spring but leave the o-ring off.
Shihan,
I didn't put the black O ring in.
Mean,
Yes, the package includes black insert, O ring and high tension spring.
Mine went in so tight that I had to use a clamp to push the extractor down to get the pin installed. If you ride the charging handle it won't close over the round, and the forward assist is a no-go. But it closes fine when dropped from the bolt hold open or when the charging handle is released from all the way back. It closes fine when firing the weapon, too.

Can I get away with just using the blue insert and adding a D-fender ring?
Actually the manufacturer of the "D Ring" suggeted to me , Black Insert and "Standard Spring".
I just went through all of this same stuff...and my 16" gun ran 100% before I started F------ with it.
My combination on a 16" mid length upper is a standard spring, and Black Insert. No donut, and no D Ring.
Most have educated me so far as to the fact that a lot of the "Extractor Upgrades" are meant for barrels that are shorter than 16".
