I ran into the same thing with mine too. At first i thought it was a defect untill reading similiar replies. It really is tight! I also wish the leverr was on the other side. I just mounted it with the lever on the right side of the gun...so i can open the lever with my right (strong) hand in case the optic breaks and i have to get rid of it quick. I also perfer my optic towards the rear of my rail close to my buis

Works just fine for me prone. Read = for me, not some 5' 5" person, I'm 5' 11".....

I have an ADM riser mount for my Eotech 512 that works great. The lever is a little tough to throw but the mount returns to zero every time.

10-4. I'm 5'11" also, but older than 5x11. I need to work harder and whine less.

I have heard of people breaking the QD mechanism. I don't remember if it was the lever, bolt, or nut that gave out but something did give out.

Using an O-Ring, makes it where I can do open the Lever with my fingers and the mount holds just fine.

I like the ADM because of the amount of space that cams onto the rail. It doesn't grind into the upper reciever to hold it in place. The lever is hard to push in, but I like that. To pull it off (if I can't do it by hand) I use the sling and place it under the lever, push the locking piece in and pull on the loop of the sling. My Larue's were pretty tight as well, so I used the same technique. I know some folks like to able to ditch the optic (like an ACOG) quickly, so clearly, that is not my intent.

I have an ADM recon scope mount; I like it a lot, and get around the slightly too tight issue by using a strap or something when unmounting, as described above. The other good thing about ADM is the price - they are the lowest of the "Big Three", and can often be purchased on deal/bundled.

All that said, however....I now also have a Bobro, and for me, there is no going back. Bobro's locking lever is stellar - no adjustment, no fuss, easy on and easy off, locks up solid. A real quantifiable step ahead of the competition, IMO.

The problem with Bobro scope mounts is there is only one locking lever, no option for two and what is the deal with screw holes being on the bottom side of the scope ring. Not only does that make it a total pain in the ass to adjust your scope position while it's mounted to the rifle it virtually guarantees the screws will be lost should one happen to comes loose. That design feature/problem leaves me scratching my head and makes the mount unsuitable regardless of the merits of it's single locking lug.

Yeah, good point about the mounting screws on the Bobro - the other pain in the ass bit is that there is one screw that you just cannot get to with a Torque screwdriver, so you have to best guess that one. I would also prefer more traditional top down screws.

Locking lever wise...don't think it needs another one, it is very solid as is.

As mentioned, can't really go wrong with any of the quality ones...they all just have their own little foibles.
