I'm glad you didn't take to me not being informed the wrong way. I am reading and learning alot on this website. It makes me happy to see that people will help those who don't know, learn and understand. I will be more cautious to going with someones individual word. I am looking forward to learning a who new view of the AR world thank you.

and I am glad you didn't take my using your post as an example the wrong way. I think your post highlights a good example of how to use the information in the Chart effectively when questions like yours come up.

How much actual shooting do they do? Is it the kind of shooting that you do?.
Well for me in this scenario. The shop owner I know shoots every weekend. He talks to me and explains to me the best way he can on what i am buying. He also know that money isn't really and issue as i am will to spend the extra to get something i would be happier with. But when it comes to the AR world of custom or top tier this is a whole different ball game. Perhaps this is why some people don't want to do the research either. cause it would be more of a dream then something they can actually justify spending another $1000 on. Some of us can actually afford to spend the extra money and not put our selves in a finical bind. I by no means can spend $5000 on a rifle in one month. but over the course of two maybe three months would not have a problem with it.

I asked in the other thread too, but where are you getting these prices from?

I'm fair game when it comes to being a novice in this world of AR's. So by all means sir use my ignorance any chance you get. I just don't like it when i read others putting peoples items down because of their own preference. I am pretty sure by the time I get comfortable to build my own AR. and it will be because I will be informed on what actually works in practice

The prices I'm just throwing out there as far as other accessories for and scopes or red dots go. once the final cost is tallied up its a more realistic number. Or at least that is how it seams. If people where to drop top tier items on their AR I'm sure the final price would be somewhere in that figure. or at least with the acc. i was looking at. but that is also at buying everything brand new too. Maybe $5000 is pretty high. but I'm positive it would be far away from the $1000 tag that most rookies start at.( like myself)

I know that I am no expert on the AR15 but I have learned alot of the couple of years that I have owned one. However one time I was at a local bigname sports store and saw a father/son looking and discussing the different ARs that they had on display.

I proceeded to explain to them the obvious differences and also the not so obvious. Also tried to explain to them about the different qualities between say Colt and DPMS(which the store had). The father and son were more informed when they talked to the salesperson and proceeded to explain basically what I had informed them of. Of course the salesperson basically said that they are all the same rifle and that there are no differences between Colt, LMT, BCM or DPMS.

I never did know if they bought the DPMS or not though.

over her its mostly bushmasters, RRA and dmp that i have seen. I wish i could go out and try the other brands/built AR's out there.
So I can see and feel the difference

You're mixing apples and elephants. and this isn't really the thread for that line of discussion.

Sorry got off the main subject. So why is the more average price you would say a good quality bulid would be? If you don't mind me asking. I won't hammer you for brands, I am just wondering price.
