Rob I do have your first chart, and thanks for the work you put into.
I think you need to work to separate the wheat from the chaff.

"Pushing the chart to the left" encourages a pattern where people purchase a higher quality product and the market responds. In turn we get more competition, better quality and lower price. (as mentioned an apples to apples comparison shows the price difference between "left" and "right" is minimal.)

There will always be the blowhards who have to convey that information like they are Zeus on high dictating to the peasants. Its not unique to AR-15s or firearms. The world is full of smacktards. Just ignore them and absorb what you can for your needs.

Speak for yourself. I for one am thankful for the chart. I knew nothing about the differences when I bought my first shrubmaster that needed the chamber reamed b/c of stuck wolf cases, as well needing a H2 buffer b/c of the oversized gas port. My 2nd and 3rd. LMT and BCM uppers have been 99.8% trouble free. I had 3 short strokes once with Wolf when the BCM was new. I've also been able to build my lowers exaclty how I want them w/o having any extra parts to try to sell.

I have not read all 13 pages of this thread. Anyone that has read my posts should know that I do not always agree with the collective here. With that said, to me "The Chart" is like "Consumer Reports." I read them, evaluate them, do not always go with their recommendation, but am always glad they are there to review.

Thanks for all your hard work Rob.

And Rob, once you're done with the "New AR Chart", start on one for the 1911. If any other gun needs it, it's that one.

Amen to that. So many options and info it really needs to be boiled down.

I dunno, I've had some boarders who were pretty bad dudes... and the police needed a 100% mil-spec weapon!

With the runaround I'm getting from some of the name makers, I'm strongly considering releasing the new version as-is with only 8 respondents. I think the resistance by some of these guys speaks volumes.

Release the hounds! Let 'em have it! How long have they kept you waiting?
