If you have the measurements for the light you can look up which unit on the Vltor site. I have some in stock if your close to Surprise.

Most likely the classic one. Have you looked at the SF M79? It is a little more forgiving on sizes and gives you a QD capability.

I don't know if my opinion counts, but I have been running one for some time and really like it.

    Grant,

How would you rate the M79 against the Viking Tactics mount. I have been considering a viking tactics as I am considering mounting it on the top rail to put the light tight against the handguard in the 3 O'clock position. I know the Surefire mount isn't the same setup, but if its a superior mount I may have to rethink my plans.

I have used both the M79 and the Vltor mount. I prefered the Vltor because the light body sat closer to the rail.

I view the VT mount as ok at best. I really only like the mount with a SF G2 because the way the VT holds the light (with screws) will damage an alum. flashlight.

So the M79 is a far better quality mount IMHO. Not to mention that you can remove the light without a SINGLE tool! No other mount offers that.
