Greetings trappernana,
Products and Customer Service. On multiple occasions. This sums up my BCM experiences.
Thanks guys! I truly appreciate all the information and opinions. The fact that they support The Wounded Warrior Project is a huge factor. The lifetime warrenty is another. I've breifly looked at their sight and they definately have what I want. It's easy to look it up and assume they're good products. It's much more assuring to read tesimonials from those who own their gear![]()
I'm getting close to the purchase of my first keeper and want a good one. I decided a couple of weeks ago it would be a BCM. I dont want a cut corner gun, and most certainly not for the same or more money than a BCM. Im of the mind too now....WHY NOT?
The BCM M4 functioned perfectly. I was only able to run a couple of mags thru it due to the ever increasing crowd at the range. I hope to get some "alone time" with my new rifle tomorrow morning and try some basic drills and reloads. Hopefully the snow forcast keeps the old timers at home![]()
Hmm, well you get quality parts, excellent CS, and still have some coin left over to get the wife a shiny little bauble. Unless she is the one buying the BCM parts, then you get the "new tie".

Ok, to put it simple, even their blemished lowers are better fit and finish than most other companies. I wouldnt trust my life to anything but the best, and BCM is my first choice.

Why BCM over LaRue, POF,or Noveske or even LWRC. I know price but what else. Specifics please.![]()
ASSUMPTION: We are talking about battle rifles for high round count and high heat applications, not sniper rifles or designated marksman rifles.
1. Look at "The Chart" to see which makes are closest to milspec.
2. IMHO, Colt, BCM, Daniel Defense, Noveske are the ones to purchase. Personally I own Colt, Daniel Defense and Noveske. LMT and KAC would be good but they are not my personal preference, although they might be yours.
3. LaRue makes a designated marksman / sniper rifle, not a battle rifle. A match grade stainless barrel will get torn up with high round count high heat use.
4. POF uses a piston system and some kind of anti-friction internal coating. I have owned two of them. One was very, very accurate. The other was ok. Both functioned perfectly. Both were way too heavy. Both were shedding their internal anti friction coating with alarming speed.
5. I have now owned a LWRC, but I have read several reports of reliability issues.
The foregoing has been an informal presentation of my personal opinion.
Buy whatever you want. Many people have given you reasons. There is no "Holy Grail" of AR's. Find one that suits your needs at the price point with the features you require for use you have in mind. Mission drives the gear. bro, just buy and be happy.
Or you can buy because Paul is a cool guy!![]()
