This should be a good sign. A great company selling out of product even before they can show stock.

It means more gun owners. Thats a positive.

It means BCM is doing well, which is good for all of us. It hopefully translates to better products for the consumer.

Yes, but do you know of anyone that has run one hard? See I want to believe what you believe. A duty capable rifle that is proven for $800.00, but I don't know of anyone that has run one hard and haven't seen any reports of any type on them. I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm saying I haven't seen one. FWIW, I think Spikes is doing a great thing by moving their rifles to the acceptable standard and trying to keep the price down at the same time, but I also think that until a few are torture tested, they're still somewhat of an unknown. Design is one thing, but you never really know until units get tested in the field. This is what separates some of the others from the Spikes. It doesn't just apply to Spikes either. If you look around or talk to the right people, you'll find reports of some high dollar rifles failing when run hard in training classes and or not doing well in the sandbox.

All is to say that you never know until you get the weapon out there under adverse conditions and hear the reports that come back.

Let's clarify a few things shall we?

Spike's is not "milspec". Their standards and processes are what they are, and that's it.

And before you get wrapped in the details I can tell you that myself and others looked at docs that they posted in reference to their HP/MPI testing and there are some questions there.

In order to be milspec the item needs to be built to the TDP among other things. I doubt that they have a copy of it and if they do then it was obtained illegally.

I have never used any BCM parts but I am thinking real hard on a BCG for a Bushmaster (Oh my ! ) I have.
I've been doing some research here and that is the first of some upgrades I am mulling over.
(I have had this BM since '02 so don't start with the "You should have never bought it !". )
