    Bravo Company Complete Carbines

For some apparent reason, the advanced search bar wouldn't work for me, so I guess I'll pop a quick question.

Question:Are the BCM COMPLETE built carbines a good buy?

    (I'm interested in the RECCE-14 and 16 Mod and MID-16 Mod 2)

    Yes.

We also have our own model (750-C) which is a middy (Govt profile) without a stock or handguard. This way you can kind of build it with whatever you want and not pay for items that you are going to take off the gun.

They certainly are, but you can buy one of their assembled lowers that has a minor blemish and save a bunch of cash. Have that shipped to your FFL, then buy the upper that you want, and have that shipped to your house.

Do the numbers with that, and you should find some good sized savings.

I recently purchased one of these from Grant, and could not be happier! I would highly recommend checking this option out.

+1 on this idea...I just finished piecing together a couple of middys for considerably less than I could have bought complete guns. Shipping was fast and had the guns assembled within 5 days of placing the orders. Bravo Company (complete uppers- one minus a handguard- and blemished lowers- significant savings), DSGarms (sights, MOE handguard and sling mounts- plus their discount and Going Green sale), and Midway (Geiselle triggers on sale, but now out-of-stock and now not-on-sale) had excellent prices on the items I wanted, and excellent customer service. And that included getting an Aimpoint from Botach.
    As an example:
$535 one middy upper with fcg
    $277 blem lower shipped
    $30 Magpul MOE handguard
    $25 Magpul ASAP sling plate
$20 Magpul RSA front sling thing
    $55 Magpul rear BUIS
    $14 Magpul EMag
    $15 Magpul front grip
    Total $971 not counting shipping
There ya go...a basic "enhanced" solid shooter of a gun!
Or just the upper, lower, and handguard for $850...just add a rear sight...hard to beat that!

I did a T&E and article on the BCM RECCE 14. Can't access my records right now so unsure of the total round count on the gun when I sent it back, but several hundred at least.

I liked the gun, and if the configuration is one that you're interested in I don't think you can go wrong with one. I wouldn't personally choose a 14.5" barrel with pinned muzzle device for my first/only AR carbine.

My first was AR was a 14.5" and I was just curious why that is? Thanks.
