I am looking for a scope for a RRA NM A2. I ran across a Colt 4x22 replica. It is made in China. Are these scopes any good?

Chinese built components for firearms are generally a poor purchase decision. And, I'm sure you've been here long enough to know the culture of this site and that answers you'd expect to get. Any rifle that could potentially see some serious use should have a quality optic on it.
Now, if this rifle is a range toy, it will probably do alright. However, in that sort of role, what wouldn't?

I figured it was not a top notch scope. On my tactical AR I have a Eotech 512 with a 3x magnifier. This new rifle is going to be a range queen. I am looking for a scope for fixed shooting/plinking. It is not going to be knocked around. That style of scope really looks nice in the carring handle IMO.
you're not going to be committing any mortal sins.. but you're not likely to get any affirmation here.
do it if you want to... $30 is a cheap lesson, i suppose.![]()
The one I saw is $150. It says Colt on it but is is not a Japanese model. I know the originial scopes from the 60's were Japanese. I am not looking to put an airsoft scope on my rifle. The NCstar scopes are $30. I was hoping someone had a Chinese made Colt scope and had some feedback.
A friend of mine has a real one sitting around. It fogs up pretty bad. Pm me if any interest. I cannot give You a price idea, until I speak with him.
I believe you can get a rail attachment for your A2 handle and mount a good scope with rings .
