Both cans are very good. throw Knight's in there and you'll have the top cans that all will last very very long. If you have to choose one, it is time to start splitting hairs.

If you look into the way they are built, the sound performance as well as the pricing, i feel most of the time, you'll come out with AAC.

As for POI/POA shift, it is marketing hype. It depends on soooo many factors- design of the can, length of barrel, profile of barrel, freefloat or not, what ammo you are using, etc.

What you WILL get with a good can is minimal shift (the definition of this depends on who you talk to and is generally within a few MOA). And that shift will exactly repeat each time the can is mounted.

So, your unsuppresed and suppressed zeros will always remain the same. If you always have the can mounted, it will never change.

If you are shooting steel/ minute-of-man out to 100 or so, you'll not have to change anything. If you are shooting precision, you'll need to learn and know your 2 zeros.

You've made a great choice on a versatile can.

    1. the 'N-6 on a 300 BLK gun is just amazing. http://www.aacblog.com/?p=9177

    2. the 'N-6 is within 3-4 dB of a dedicated 5.56 can when used on a 5.56 gun

    3. yes, it will outlast most guns.
I'm absolutely loving all Ive learned so far about the combo of a nfa length 300AAC barrel and the SDN-6.

As far as that great clip you posted, two words....Hollywood Suppression

My main criteria for selecting a suppressor prior to learning of the 300AAC option was for sure versatility, however that has been replaced by what will suppress the 300AAC the best, and I don't intend to shoot anything for a long time once I get the suppressed 300AAC SBR up and running.

This video ruined me...I have watched it dozens of times and it showed me just what I needed to see in order to fall in love with the setup.

    Thanks for weighing pal.

That clip you linked to is even more impressive when you pay attention to how much closer the 300 BLK is to the camera.

Are these suppressors available or have they not started shipping yet?

They really look like an awesome suppressor. I am also thinking of going with one as my first suppressor. It really makes sense to have just one suppressor that can cover everything from 5.56 to .308.

Depends MORE on the barrel/gun than the can in my experience. I've put my can on a gun and had a 1/2MOA shift up. Then I've taken that same can and put it on another barrel and had the POI shift down like 5 MOA.

So it wouldn't be accurate to say the POI shif with this can is good or bad.

Great info guys. Thanks for your input. I had considered going with a 7.62 can, but could never find the information on performance with a 556. 3-4db is nothing, when you consider the versatility.
