    Dude that barrel is WAY too long! You freaking Savage shooters are some crazy dudes. Nice stick though.

    The thing I like about Savage is that the chambers are cut correctly. My chamber head spaces at 1.632 and measures 2.819 to the lands with 175gr SMK(COL), cartridges still fit in the mag and are short .010. I've had a few of "the other brand" rifles and they required re-cutting the chamber to get a reasonable throat length.

    My barrel is 18 inches which is why I was messing with you.

    You Savage guys really do stick together though, I'll give you that.

    I have a factory 20" barrel on mine, with the factory tupperware stock... None of my targets have ever complained...but my wife sure does!
