Pmags are no good. Pre ban or post ban rifle.

The magazine itself has to be pre ban.

Please enlighten me, and I don't mean that in a mean way, I really would like to know.
Now I know that not all non marked mags are pre ban but the vast majority are, and those are to be considered as such.

Aside from Colt, I believe that most new mags are not dated. The dealers and such can chime in on that one. I am only speaking from my experience. I know where I work in NY you would be charged unless its dated pre Sept 14, 1994 or you have something showing its pre ban and they give you the opportunity.

If you live anywhere NYC then I can understand that, but up here in Western NY there doesn't seem to be that issue. Unless it's in the city limits of Rochester or Buffalo, those cities have their own laws too but it doesn't extend to the suburbs. Now most of the mags I've run across at gun shows and the odd gun store weren't marked and they're being sold out in the open, I've never had an AR before and I didn't have a need to pick up the mags when I could, now I'm scrambling to pick up a supply, legally of course.

I just suggest you use caution. I like the pre ban Colt mags because it’s easier to show; the change of names on the floor plates and I believe all Colt AR mags produced after the ban were and are still dated. I also heard NY State is looking at the sale of these mags at gun shows (dealers not the possessors) and such. Most law abiding citizens aren’t going to have a problem because you’re going to be discrete and use them lawfully however I wouldn’t want to have them in plain view at let’s say a car stop or an incident in your house and take the litmus test. Just my expert and honost opinion.

I have about 7 or 8 preban 30 rd mags in good shape. I'd take $12.50 each for them if you're interested (the price of a PMAG). PM or email if interested.
