Anybody make a subcompact pistol light worth a darn

After having 2 TLR3's break(my TLR1's have been rock solid) due to their plastic construction I am not going to try another TLR3(Streamlight has been great in dealing with me). I do however need a subcompact pistol light and the TLR1's wont work due to the rail space on the M&P9C.

So does anybody make a sub compact pistol light that is possibly made of aluminum instead of plastic?

I have both a TLR-1 and TLR-3. Ive had two TLR-3's snap at the plastic (nonmoving) side of the rail clamp. Sending the second one back tomarrow. I too would be very interested in a subcompact weaponlight that doesn't have stressed plastic components.

If you already of one metal railclamp why would you have a plastic one too? Lame

Thats exactly what has happened to mine. One of their reps is on here and I have conversed with him about it and he says their repair department says its a rare failure. Here is a pic of mine

Streamlight is going to replace the TLR3 with a TLR1, just gotta send in the TLR3 today.

Contact their customer service. I just told them this was the second one that broke in the same place and I wanted to swap for a TLR1 and they said to send in the light and a copy of the email and they would get me a TLR1 sent out.

Insight X2L seems to be a good subcompact light. Having a hard time finding a decent holster though.

That sounds like great customer service to me (switching out a tlr-3 for a tlr-1) the tlr-1 is certainly built better (ive got one on my carbine). That still wouldnt do it for me though, as the tlr1 is much bigger then the tlr3, it would stick out far beyond my m&pc, negating the benifet of a subcompact. Ill take a look at the streamlight, i just really want a durable small weaponlight for my edc gun!!!! This is bs.

TLR1 will not even fit on the MP9C, doesnt have enough rail.

I am done trying to keep TLR3's on my guns thus just swapping to a TLR1 which I will use.

Thus the search for a subcompact light that will put up to some abuse.

In my last post I forgot to mention that its the X2L LED that I have.
Fits an XD subcompact perfectly and is pretty bright. I can't say that I've run it hard but it has been an every day all day carry item in the wifes purse and has survived that and the range.
