Need WORK in Charlottesville, VA area ~ Any inside word?

I know not many here are in or near Charlottesville, but it is worth a shot (not too proud to voice a need)... It is DRY here, need some inside help.

Need some DECENT EMPLOYMENT in Charlottesville or near by areas. FT or PT...

I am on top of usual suspects (UVA & Medical, county, city, Rivanna, Tenaska, Albemarle, etc...), but nothing yet. Had several interviews, but no joy... Still looking...

My primary experience is computers and networking, but I am also a damn excellent mechanic, technician, or serviceman. Can provide documentation to prove it, if needed. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Expert computer and network skills (but no certification... long story)... I think I am a great asset to any employer, if I can just get a foot in the door.

I am getting drowned out among the large numbers of other people looking for the same jobs... Hope to find an inside line, a crack in the door to get my boot into...

Would LOVE to get a job where I can get a security clearance, but so far, Catch-22. Entry level usually wants younger hires, but can't get higher level without clearance.

Never in my life has it been this difficult.... never! I know I live in a crappy town for work, but wife has a great job at UVA and great schools for my daughter, so I cannot move...

Any help out there to get me in a door somewhere?

Have you tried H'burg, Staunton, Stuarts Draft or Waynesboro?

W'boro is dry too since DuPont bounced, but the others are fair. JMU in H'burg seems to be always hiring, and Mary Baldwin in Staunton might be a possibility too.

I know its a bear of a drive over Afton Mt., and 33 thru the Rapidan isn't much better. (Did the Afton thing a couple of years into Earlysville.)
