What do you think of Doublestar?

I have been reading the comparison threads in this forum, rating the different brands of M4-type carbines available to me. Thanks to you who pass on your knowledge.

But I can't find any mention of Doublestar, yet see their big glossy ads in Shotgun News and Small Arms Review.

So what are your opinions and experiences with this brand?

I think that I would pass on them and if your looking to go cheap, stick with RRA or BM.

    Thumbs up Great customer service

I have found DoubleStar/J&T Distributing to provide excellent customer service. They are very easy to work with and will do anything for you.

I have a DoubleStar 20" SS Hbar rifle that seems well made and has been reliable and very accurate. I think the quality was at least as good as BM or RRA, they have a better selection and good service.

That said, if buying a carbine, I would probably pass them up for a brand that offered more from the M4C comparison chart (i.e. parked under FSB, H buffer, mp tested barrel)

    This for example: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=7235

Very few if any of the parts they use follow the TDP. This means that the majority of the parts used a cheap. This is of course what allows them to sell their weapons so low.

You get what you pay for.
