Viking Tactics Mini-L4 (Mini-scout alternative)

I did not take the clip off but it appears that you unscrew the head and slide the clip off. I do not see how it would effect water resistance? The o-ring does not touch any part of the clip.

Do you think that replacing the head with the KX2C head would yield a better result as far as illumination at distance? I have the standard VTAC L4 with the KX2C head and absolutely love it. I thought that perhaps that head on the mini body would be a pretty good combination for a weapon light. What do you think?

I am getting ready to buy a light for a new rifle, and am considering the mini L4, but want to make sure that i will get the same, or similar results as the standard VTAC L4. Thanks guys.
