    What A SIG Should Be

Dont know if this has been posted before or not but I thought it would be of interest. These are the standards a real SIG 550 series rifle is held to and meets or exceeds: http://www.biggerhammer.net/sigamt/5...echinspection/

Seen that test before, would love to see a US "Sig" tested against a Swiss Arms.

    Thanks for sharing.

Out of nowhere, I'm learning all these new things about SIG rifles, and how much the 556 is a POS.

It wouldn't be a test. It would be a slaughter...
If you're in range, so are they...

At this point I'd settle for just being able to get quality, reliable handguns again.

I still have my trusty ole P228 from the early 1990s and it still remains the finest overall performing Sig I've ever owned. I've owned about a dozen Sigs over the years. I also like the old German zipper backed magazines which is a design that H&K still uses on their magazines.

SwissArmsAG, SIG Sauer Gmbh, and Sig Sauer Inc. are 'sister' companies and they are very different. It's like how Cadillac Gage and Bell Helicopter are both part of Textron.

Sad thing is I still want a P210 but they are so expensive o.O

More like how Cadillac and Geo were once sister companies under the GM umbrella.

That's not happening until they start importing from Germany again.

I got my first P226 back in 85, and with the exception of my Series 70 Colts it was easily the best handgun I owned for a long time. About 20 years and 20,000 rounds later it finally gave up the ghost and the frame cracked.

When I consider what SIG once was, with what they have become, it is a real shame. If Glock can maintain a quality and standard at $450, SIG could easily do the same if they wished.
