The scope looks a little different because it is a one inch tube model with a 20mm objective/ aperture lense.
It is a light-weight fixed model and does have a great deal of eye relief. Over 4 inches of eye relief, more than any of their other models, except for the Scout model.

^ Thanks bro. Obviously traditional scope design has the bigger lens up front. I'm sure I'm not the first person confused by this. It still looks weird.

You will see larger objective lenses on scopes with more magnification. It's to let in more light. Scopes don't gather light, they simply take the light that it catches, focuses it and passes it through.

Otherwise, the picture you see will be dim. The larger rear lens is to allow for a larger exit pupil; that is a larger diameter for the picture to come through to your eye. The larger the exit pupil, the more light that will hit your eye. Too large and it's wasted. Too small and the picture is dim

Another section that plays a role in the brightness of a rifle scope is the erector set which contains the reticle and is adjusted by the windage and elevation knobs. A larger diameter erector will pass more light.
Don't believe the hype about 30mm tubes being brighter than 1 inch tubes. While the 30mm tube is larger, the erector set is often the same as those found in 1 inch tubes. The difference is that the extra space is used to gain a greater range of adjustment. If the erector set diameter were increased, more light will pass but adjustment will be less
