    Sights for a new G19

Going to upgrade my daily carry piece with some upgraded sights, but I'm at a logjam.

It's either going to be Sevigny Carry Tritium 2 Dot sights or Heinie SlantPro Straight Eight night sights.

Torn between the two. The Heinies are 15$ cheaper.

    your thoughts?

I've been using Amierglo Operators on G19 for a couple of years now. I'm very pleased with them and will probably use the same on my next Glock.

I'm a big fan of the Heinie's. Currently all my G17s have either Heinie Straight Eights on them (either Ledges or Slant Pro) and I'm in the process of replacing all my G19 sights with Ledges.

Can't really go wrong with either of your choices. I have Heinie Ledge / Straight-8 on all of my G19s...vast improvement over my long-used Trijicon sights...especially for my over-50 eyes.

The problem I have found with Glock after market sights is that they shoot high at 25 and 50 yards. I wish companies would make caliber and model specific sights that shoot point of aim at 25 yards. I just bought a New Glock 19 RTF2 LE gun with night sights that shoots dead on at 10 to 50 yards. The front sight is marked AJ2 and the rear sight is marked Glock and AJ

I don't understand how this could be an issue. The average 9mm bullet will drop less than 2 inches at 50 yards. Even if the sights were zeroed for 40 yards it would only be .3 inches high at 25 and .6 at 50. If you can notice a half inch difference in zero at 50 yards with a Glock 19 you are a much better shot than I am.

That's because they are .40 S&W sights. To get true POA/POI, you need Kyle Defoor's sights or use the 10-8 front sight post that is .235 or .250 instead of the shorter one. The OP should do a search, this topic has been covered (Glock sights) as has POA/POI.

    Which ones?

I'm probably not a better shoot than you and most likely I'm a worse shot. I have found that with Meprolits and Trijicon they are set for a six oclock hold instead of a dead on hold that I prefer.

Ok. That makes sense. I always aim center as well.

I like the Warren Tactical sights. Tritium front and plain rear. The radius on the bottom of the rear sight really draws your focus to the front sight. I also like the narrow front sight. They're fast and more precise that the 3 dot trijicon sights I used to use.
