    Title I Swiss SIGs...$4k...

For those who want the real thing. Conversions are now being done to add a fake suppressor to imported 552 Commando's to remove them from the registry and make a Title I firearm.

Midwest will be selling them, expect to pay around $4k.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

Already have a 552-to-553 conversion kit waiting for mine. This is a tremendous opportunity to own a piece of unobtanium.

Is this what you are talking about? Can anyone speak on the legalities of SBR'ing this?

Hopefully more real SIG's combined with fake USA SIG's will bolster the ecosystem so mags and parts are easier to acquire.

I spoke to the gentleman at Sig552commando.com and he advised me that the 552 itself is good to go in terms of adding a fake can to extend the length. I already asked him to hold one for me. You'll have to contact him by email at the moment since he hasn't posted any info about it yet. I don't yet have clearance for NFA items so hopefully that will come soon, but I'm not sure if sbr'ing is going to be legit. I didn't get to ask that question just yet but general consensus at the moment is that it may revert back to pre-86 status if that is done. If I hear from the owner, I'll post but please let me know if you get a definitive answer as well.

Well shit, I just bought a demilled 552 kit, but at least this saves me from buying a 556 donor gun and the cost of the conversion. Plus it's the real thing, not a clone.

So can I still SBR this? I suppose there's some reason they can't offer them in the current form with the proper paperwork.

    ???

Maybe I need to refresh myself on Federal laws but how is it possible to import a 100% Sig 552 and only modify the barrel length to make it a title 1 gun? Are these 552 lowers with a 556 upper guns or am I just missing something?

Can't click on the link to sig552commando.com either cause I would love to look at these...

I'm guessing that there's enough sig556 US made parts for 922r compliance.
