    Berger 70 grain VLD

Anyone ever done any testing with this bullet? Apparantly there's a whole lotta hunters that started using the Berger VLDs for hunting with good results. Now Berger has a hunting line and target line of bullets. Although the 70 gn VLD is listed as a target bullet, Berger recommends it for deer.

I understand this bullet would not work with intermediate barriers. Just wondering what kind of terminal ballistics it would have unobstructed.

It will also load to magazine length.

It the jacket is thin enough it should perform similar to a 69gr Sierra Match King.

They have a hunting VLD. I would like to here more to, maybe try emailing Brian Litz at Berger and ask him, he will respond. I use the 30cal 185g and 210s in my win mag their great.

Thing with Bergers in my experience is they are very sensitive to jump and seating depth can be an issue in some cases. Bullets like the SMK and AMAX are not as sensitive to jump and can usaly be tuned with charge weight.
