which would you choose? Colt or BCM?

    Which would you choose?

BCM mid length with omega x 9 inch rail - $799
    BCM bcg ionbonded - $199
BCM gunfighter charging handle - $44.95
LMT complete lower (bought locally)- $450

    OR

    Colt 6920 - $1099 and get a 12" omega x fsp rail later.

Prices of the BCM were gathered from BCM's website. I'm sure there are dealers out there that sell some of those accessories for cheaper. I just haven't looked yet.

    Which would you choose?
It will not be for duty or any type of defensive use.

To be honest, I would probably go with BCM solely from the customer service standpoint, and that they have much less staff that probably have a much greater vested interest in seeing BCM succeed and thrive. That being the case, small flaws and screwups in assembly would not likely make it out the door at BCM. Such as canted front sight bases etc.

I personally went with DD since they are based in my own state, but would not hesitate to go with BCM if they had exactly what I wanted.

Colt makes great stuff, but I guess I'm just more inclined to go with the little guy if they have the same or better quality. The little guy is usually more flexible and more inclined to care about the work they do.

Note. This is all conjecture based on experience with other industries with different companies playing similar roles.

I'd buy the BCM mid length with omega x 9 inch rail, BCM bcg ionbonded and the BCM gunfighter charging handle.

But I can't see paying that much for any lower.

I'm very curious why that lower is so pricey?

Honestly, you can't "go wrong" with either.

You can get complete LMT lowers for $100~ less than that. You don't really need an ionbonded BCG (there is another thread on this page about them), that would save about $60.

    For example:

I like both equally as much, and I'm a self-admitted Colt whore...

    So I have a 6920 and a BCM BFH LW 16" mid-length rifle.

i'm not sure why it's so expensive. I guess it's cause LMT is a known to be one of the best so he sorta charges more for it. The price that i put is also a guesstimate. For a standard single stage trigger and m stock, one of the employees at the dealer said "400 something" but i didn't bother having him clarify as my purchase will still be a ways away. I'm just asking now to get some input.

I COULD get a spikes tactical from the same dealer for $250. That might also be an option. Any opinions on spikes tactical lowers?

I have seen LMT standard lowers for around 330.00. Even if you do a transfer it will be cheaper. Or you could get a BCM blemished lower.
