I've liked some of the built up lever guns I've been seeing in the last couple of years. Functional and utilitarian, and legal in 50 states to boot.

Yes, I think you will be able to stop a car with that gun.

Or a black bear, or an elk if it comes within range.

It's really a neat rifle. You build such thought-provoking firearms, sir. They really make me ponder, and start thinking about bank balances.....

What distance do you zero the RDS for? If I was living in Kentucky again, this would be quite a nice rifle to tote around.

Thanks again for the photos, I always enjoy looking at them.

    That is sweet.
Please tell us the specs on the build!
I'm considering purchasing an 1895 SBL or GBL like Glocktogo, but the straight grip and lack of checkering on yours really give it that old schol cool factor.

Both of the Lever guns pictured look very nice and good to go.

I have a Winchester Trapper in 44 Mag that I have used as a "Road Gun" many times when traveling to [and thus from] a huning trip.
AS I most always carry a 44 Mag handgun in the field the 44 rifle can use the same ammo, making logistics easier.

Also while an AR15 might be better in a stand up fight, once you get to big game hunting country the 223 is near useless.

A 44 Mag or a 45/70 lever with the right ammo is good for any NA game for sure.

And the Lever is legal in all 50 states, and does not cause a "scare factor" if seen by other "citizens". Especially in hunting areas...

Also, unless you are in BIG Brown Bear country there is nothing wrong with the good old 30/30.
You can find ammo for it nearly ANYWHERE.
