    Stupid-simple workout

A buddy suggested the following workout. I scoffed at him, the 'easiness' and simplicity, I thought, would be no match for me. Wrong.

A 2-mile walk (or any distance you choose). That's right...walk, not run. Carry dumbells of any medium weight. Walk fast, very fast (for me a slightly-faster than a 15-min mile), and alternate sets of curls, shoulder presses, front and lateral raises. Repeat the sets until you are finished with your walk.

The first time I did this I was out of breath pretty good, and felt a little burn. The next day I could barely move. Now I do this about once or twice a week for variety. I think the next step is adding a weighted vest or a rucksack.

I might look like a dork, but the funny thing is a) I am getting a great workout, and b) I don't really give a shit what people think about me or how I look.

Well, if the dumbbells are 75 pd'ers, sure onlookers won't say it.

I like it! Sounds like a good time. What weight are you using?

Ill give it a shot. Likely I will wait until nighttime since I run then anyway. I imagine its killer. I used to see this guy running around with a cinder block in his hands; well it would begin as a run, then it looked like a duck waddle toward the end. That guy was ripped and he would beat the piss out of folks in the local toughman matches.

Hmm. 30-35 sounds like a lot for this routine....NOT kidding. I'll try it first and see though.

I'll not kid you...it beats the hell out of me. In all honesty, I could likely go down 5 lbs as I am certain at the end of 2 miles my form goes to pot.
