    AR Performance?

Anyone have any experience with these guys?

I was intrigued because they show a helical flute on their barrels, which I think would add a custom touch that not everyone else has (at least yet )

I emailed them and they said SA, Inc. makes their barrels. Any good? Their web page is pretty rough, but it does seem like they might know a thing or two about upper builds...

    Thoughts?

Their 5.56 uppers use barrels w/ 5/8x24 threads. Hmm...

    Kinda thought the same thing...

Found DEZ Arms offers what I was looking for as well, but availability is nonexistent.

I have a 6.8 upper from them and am very pleased with the product. Use is primarily for deer hunting and I have no complaints as use for a hunting platform.

A typo for shure, The owner of that sites name is Harrison & IIRC he is a one man shop. Being that he wears many hats at his shop, he probably hasn't caught the error.

I have one of his 6.8 barrels & a fine one it is.

The bore should be .218" but most barrels will allow a .219" inspection pin to go in the muzzle about 3/4" and then stop.
A swelled muzzle does not help accuracy of short 55gr boat tail bullets. In addition to the larger muzzle threads there are a few extra steps taken during production of the barrels to ensure the barrels are accurate. They aren't cheap barrels imported from south of the border.

    Opps!

I really stepped on my D**k on that one!

    No problem,
I don't follow everyone else's rules, I do what ever it takes to make the barrels perform.

    Thanks!!!

OK fellas, I happened to be in the Pueblo area and swung by the shop of www.ar15performance.com and 'Constructor' was kind enough to talk shop with myself and a friend for over an hour.

This guy is on his A game for sure. Everything he is doing was explained and made perfect sense and was either solving a problem/improving on a certain aspect of what he is doing.

Before I went, I assumed this was a guy doing a few customization touches and doing parts assembly, but I was dead wrong. Fabrication of receivers, bolts, carriers, handguards, muzzle devices, etc, customization of parts, complete customized rifles (his AR-12 is VERY intriguing)...the list goes on

I will DEFINITELY be doing business with this outfit. He definitely offers a few things that you cannot find anywhere else. If you've got guys like Dan Lilja and the owner of Kreiger agreeing with you on why a 1/2-28 thread can be a problem among other things, you can rest assured he knows what he's doing.

I have a Noveske Rouge Hunter in 6.8 and a buddy has an AR Performance 6.8 upper.
I would give the edge to AR P in accuracy, it is a very nice upper.
