45 ACP Hornady +P 230gr. XTP

Does anyone have any information concerning this round? From what Hornady's website says this round delivers deep penetration and expansion. Which I know is good but does anyone have any first hand experience with this round?

While I haven't shot any two legged animals with this round I found them grouping a lot better than Federal 230gr ball.

Ammo-Lab did exstensive gel testing on the Hornady XTP 200 and 230 grain bullets loaded by Blackhills and Hornady a few years ago. The expansion in bare gelatin was excellent for all loads, but when shot through cloth they failed at a high percentage rate. I was carrying the Hornady XTP 200+p load myself at that time and switched to the Speer Gold Dot 230 grain load soon after seeing that info.
