...the "mechanical accuracy" of an M4 should be between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 MOA...with decent ammo...if she can't hold a ~ 2 inch group at 100 yards something is wrong...IMO

I would agree that a good chrome lined 5.56 barrel should be able to achieve 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 MOA with ease. With iron sights in prone position the shooter should strive for 4 MOA or better with any battle rifle.

I feel much better after reading this thread about my shooting.

Turns out I don't suck as bad as I thought I did!

I shoot a 11.5" SBR and a 14.5" (perm attached Vortex) mostly, latley I have been useing PMC 55gr ammo. I've been shooting off hand in the 4-5" range with the 14.5" gun.

The 11.5" gun I've been shooting at 50 yrds mostly and it hits pretty much everything i shoot at.
