    SBR Range / Backpack

Hey all, FINALLY have all my SBR paperwork in and now I'm looking for a place to put it when I'm carrying it to the range and such. I don't want one of those Laure Discrete bags. Looking for more of like a Range Bag that I can break the SBR down and place it in. I had originally bought the Maxpedition Sitka (Selling now in Equipment Exchange) and found out that my upper length is just under 20.5 inches. I don't really care for a large discrete bag and would rather break it down and keep it compact and low profile so to speak. I really wish I measured the upper before getting the Maxpedition Sitka or I would have never have bought it. I was looking at something like S.O. Tech Go Bag, that would fit pretty nice when broken down, or even a range bag that has a length of at least 20 inches.

You guys have anything in mind?

was looking at one of the noveske packs but they seem to be taking their sweet time on getting it out and about. Curious to see how much they will cost.

The last time I talked to Sheri, she did not know a date when they would have more. It does make for my favorite "bag of evil".

You might do a search of the many, many thread on discreet carry bags - there have been a bunch. I have a bunch of ones I use. Guitar gig bag, tennis racket case, field hockey stick bag, gym duffel, etc.

Anyone asks why Grandpa is carrying such a thing - "I'm a coach".

Ha that's good stuff, all of that is good and all but I was looking for something more like a back pack, like the noveske one but more rugged like that one that I bought and failed to measure (Maxpedition Sitka). I like the idea of dual compartments for the upper and the lower and just throw some other stuff in there (MSA Sordin, gloves, ect) like a regular backpack but hold a broken down SBR. So I guess what I'm looking for is a range bag that work like a backpack, is there even anything on the market like that. The closest thing would be the Maxpedition Sitka/Kodiak Series but again, to damn short...

Hmmmmm - how many sheckels and how much time are you willing to spend?

The reason I ask, is that you might be able to take an existing pack to a local cobbler and have him modify it. Parachute riggers are also very good at that.

You might also chat with Doc Mike at CSM Gear. He does good work, and there is always the usual suspects - Tactical Tailor, London Bridge Trading, Mystery Ranch, etc.

All they can do is say no.

I use a laptop bag intended for a 17" laptop. It'd be an understatement to say it is discreet! It holds a 10.5" SBR (broken down) with suppressor (removed), a G19 with SWR Trident can attached, a Ruger Mark-2 with SWR Spectre attached, and five mags for each of the three, along with a few other odds/ends.

Looks like a small soft-sided briefcase.

I like my Sneaky Bag. The tactical gym bag looks good too. You can always just use a gym bag too. Or a hockey bag.

I just searched Brownells website and they had the Sneaky Bags listed under Utilizigns. They are listed as out of stock and discontinued.

"Real men have always needed to know what time it is so they are at the airfield on time, pumping rounds into savages at the right time, etc. Being able to see such in the dark while light weights were comfy in bed without using a light required luminous material." -Originally Posted by ramairthree
