usmc....great setups and I love that top case. Looks kinda like a mini tactical tailor rifle case. What make or model is that tan one?

If I really am trying to conceal a SBR, rather than just transporting it low key...I haven't found a better solution than any common made 2 tennis racket case. You need the one that holds two rackets Ive found in order to fit an assembled 10.5" type AR into it.

It's tough to peg somebody carrying a double tennis racket case of concealing an SBR AR in disguise. I actually played tennis various points in my life, and have yet to meet a fellow player that was a firearms proficient individual, let alone an AR guy. People prob. tend to view tennis players as a bit soft anyways.

Thanks Trident the top bag is the "Discreet Case 28" in ranger green made by Blue Force Gear. When I bought it was either the ranger green or multi camo. I wanted one of the other more discrete colors like blue but they were sold out. Here is a link:

    http://www.blueforcegear.com/product...t-Case-28.html

The BFG is a great bag but it's a snug fit. The redimod and rail are gone from the 11.5" BCM. It now wears a set of MOE handguards and an Aimpoint M4. BFG makes awesome gear.

I've really fallen for the Sneaky Bag the blue bag on the bottom. In the small pouch on the bottom front of the bag I have and Eagle Bandoleer with 4 spare AR mags and 2 pistol mags.

The bag is heavy but it carries well and is made very well.

I've not been able to find their bags lately I am not sure if they've gone out of busineess here is a link to a review of the sneak bag.

Bummer they made awesome bags but their link is dead and was a few months ago when I was looking. They were for sale through Brownells too but looks like they may be gone unless they've just changed their name?

I had one of the Noveske back packs the things are also made very well. I had my LMT 10.5" SBR with the CTR stock and it did not fit, it was about half an inch too long. The zipper would close but had to be forced shut. I sold it. If I had a standard M4 stock or if I removed the rubber pad it probably would have worked just fine.

The reason I ask, is that you might be able to take an existing pack to a local cobbler and have him modify it. Parachute riggers are also very good at that.

You might also chat with Doc Mike at CSM Gear. He does good work, and there is always the usual suspects - Tactical Tailor, London Bridge Trading, Mystery Ranch, etc.

All they can do is say no.
This is the route I may have to go, Looking at getting a rugged backpack similar to the Maxpedition Sitka/Kodiak, possibly something more similar to the TAD FAST pack EDC and emailing some companies and seeing if they can do some custom stitching for me.

Looks like a small soft-sided briefcase.
Do you have any pictures of this? Would love a range/response bag that can fit a broken down SBR.

i have a sotech go-bag extended with the padded divider, it holds my 14.5" carbine (split apart) very nicely. while it is coyote, it doesn't scream "hey look at me, there's a gun in here".

i'll be using it to carry my SBR as well.

I was considering one of those, would like to see how it is loaded out, would you happen to have any pictures of it?

I use a baseball bat bag, cheap and very unassuming.

I don't mind if the bag I get is assuming or not, just looking for something compact that I can put a broken down SBR in with a couple range items. Something like a Maxpedition Sitka/Kodiak (if only it was slightly larger) or an Range bag that fits a 20" upper.

I have 3 of these break-down bags from Castle Rock Tactical.

    http://www.castlerocktactical.com/crt_dc16.htm

Comes in tons of colors. Works as a backpack or carry handle. 2 sizes - holds either up to a 16" upper or up to a 20" upper.

Does not look like a gun case. Resonably priced. Very satisfied.

Just in case people are getting confused, i don't want something for a 20'' BBL, I have a 10.5 inch SBR with a length of 20" (from flash hider to charging handle), and an overall length of 28" (flash hider to butt stock).

It's funny how a typical M4C super informative thread just kinda snowballs outta control...starting out very mundane and usually ending with pure gold in terms of info contained. This is totally unique to M4C and why I don't mess w. any other forums anymore.
