    Ask me how I know.
Ah how wrong you are. I could care less what you want to do for FREE.

What you want to do is gain business from a site for FREE. This is poor taste.

You are taking away business from the dealers on this forum that DO pay to be here. If that isn't bad enough, you then get on here and say stupid things about me.

You did say one thing that was correct though. You are a small fish in a big pond and should remember that you are a guest here.

I called Stag. They said their way of staking the carrier was better. I really could not follow his reasoning why. It didn't make sense.

Then, I asked about why they use a blue extractor insert. He said the blue and black were the same. He said he didn't know why there were two colors for those things.

I was skeptical to say the least.

I spoke to GR Tactical this morning and ordered the extractor reliability package for each of my uppers.

I spoke to Paul at Bravo Company. He offered to properly stake my carriers for FREE!

Q: I have four uppers. Do I need to make sure that each of the carriers go back in the rifle they came from? I know I just can't swap out the bolt due to headspace issues.

The TDP gives the correct methods for staking. The way Stag does it is incorrect.

Some manufacturers have had the blue extractor insert made black and it is in fact the same density. This is of course wrong.
LMT and Colt extractor inserts are much stiffer than the blue insert and anyone that has used them, would know this instantly. So it is safe to say that no one at Stag has handled a correct extractor insert.

Randall - comments like are not acceptable -- I'm giving you a 2 week time out for them.

What Shihan offered is fine - he may not be a sponsoring dealer, but he is offering the service for free for a member of this site.
He is not sneaking around making snarky comments about the site.

Thanks for the kind offer! I've got my eye on a few other items so I'm planning on sending it to Grant for "one stop shopping."

    Thanks again for the offer.

I went ahead and purchased a BCM BCG at Virginia Arms for one of my two RRA rifles, and I'll keep the RRA BCG as a spare. It's not properly staked (the RRA) so I'll need to get it done. Until then two of my three AR's use BCM BCG's. When I get some more dollars I'll probably get another BCM.

In Minnesota, it's called "getting snippy". As in, today I had to redo all my timecards since July 1, because accounting screwed up, and when the automated system required that I put in a comment about why I was redoing my time cards, I "got snippy" in my response.

I am awaiting the inevitable phone call about my "attitude" sometime later today....

Thanks to everyone for the help on this. I just finished staking my castle nut. I wish I would have known some of these things before I bought my rifle. I think these changes will make my Stag carbine a better rifle.

Extractor reliability upgrade kits on the way
Carriers sent out for proper staking
I already had an H2 buffer
I just staked my castle nut.

I use good ammo (American Eagle) and military contract mags with Magpul 2nd gen followers. I lube the rifle with CLP liberally.

Can you guys think of anything else that is missing?
