Stag 16" carbine - what do I need to upgrade?

I have a Stag 16" carbine. I have about 1500 rounds through it. It works 100% reliably with good ammo. The only ammo it has problems with is Wolf.

I have been reading on this board about the differences between Stag, Colt and LMT.

It sounds like I need to have the carrier key properly staked. Does anyone do this as a service? It also sounds like I need a black insert in my extractor spring (it has blue now).

    Is there anything else?

We're in the same boat, I've had my Stag for about three months now and have been reading about some of the recommended improvements.

    Here's a helpful thread.

You guys may want to contact gotm4. He's a member and moderator here. I don't know if he'll do the work for you but, he knows a lot, has a lot of experience, and does great work.

He's one of the few guys who I will gladly let work on my guns.

If you guys want to send me your bolt and carrier, include a return shipping label. I will stake your BCG key properly and upgrade the internals for 7bucks.

Offering services on this site without being a dealer is going to get you nasty PM's from Grant errrr "Staff" and your post edited.
    Ask me how I know.

oops, I figured since I was doing it for free that I wasnt being a bad boy lol. I bought a bunch of upgrade sets from Grant and after shipping I figured thats what they cost me. So I wasnt trying to make any $$. The real reason I offered is I got this new PMOAKS and its just laying around as I restaked my all my buddies BCG and want to get some use out of it. Besides I figure its returning the favor as I had free offesr for a badly staked CMT carrier of my own in the past.

Ah, but you don't realize that by doing something for free, you are removing the ability for someone else to charge for it.
When that someone else runs a forum, he can edit your posts and then come and offer the same service for his own price.
