    Shotgun skill builder drills

What are your favorite shotgun specific drills to do?

Include all the relevant stuff too, like target size/ammo/par times/distance/etc

Quick Slug Change Over. Being able to do it with no fumbles or drops 10 times in a row is a good day for me...

The "select slug" drill usually gets thrown in at the end of a drill (as in "hit the close-in steels plates and then select slug to engage the distant target"). Thus the shooters get habituated to not having to disengage the safety after a select slug.

Have the shooter start with the shotgun loaded with buck and make the first target that needs to be engaged distant enough to require a "select slug". Don't be surprised to see decent shotgunners getting on the trigger with the safety still engaged.

Agreed. Hadn't done these in a little while and realized recently that like anything else it pays to practice often.
