    870 upgrades/refinishing

I attended a shotgun class and have seen Trijicon epoxy sight flew out of the gun after about shooting 200 rds. no other way to mount that but sholdered. If you are a simple guy like me, I did the refinishing of my 870 police. I just sprayed it with satin black high temp (1200 degree) heat paint that can be purchased in any auto part store.

For my project I am planning on re-parking the gun as the only, first, mod. The barrel is parked and in good condition but the rest is blued and needs help.

I am also thinking I am going to stick with the factory rifle sights for now, although I frankly have a hard time focusing on the tiny bead front sight with the big white triangle on the rear. I think I'm going to take a class with it and bring a black paint pen to color over the triangle if I need to. I may also bring some aftermarket night sights to install during the class just in case my initial impression of the factory sights proves true regardless of the paint pen.
