    New Middy Build

First, I want to say thanks to all of the contributors to this site for all of the great information posted. It definitely made the research into what I wanted for this build much easier.

Upper was purchased off this sites Equipment Exchange. It was assembled by PK Firearms:
DD 16 inch CHF 1:7 Mid Length.
    DD Bolt.
Not sure on the BC. SA type, chrome lined with proper staking.
    CMT Upper Receiver.
    9 inch DD Omega Rail.
    Troy Rear Sight.
    Aimpoint PRO on order.

Lower is a Franklin Armory. They are a local CA company.
LPK is from G and R, including mil-spec receiver extension, spring and H buffer.
    Noveske QD End Plate
    AR15 Bullet Button.
Magpul MIAD grip and ACS stock.

Was up at my parents outside of Carson City and ran about 100 rounds through it over the weekend with no issues at all. Mostly GGG (Lithuanian) 62 gr surplus and some Federal 55 gr using USGI and PMAG magazines. I am also using Frog Lube on this AR.

This will be my GOTO gun when the big one hits the SF Bay Area, and my primary training weapon for various courses I will be taking.

That's a really nice rifle you put together. I have an AP PRO and love it. You will be pleased with it. Good job!

Looks like a solid all-round workhorse. Now shoot it

    Here is the final result

    Added:

    Aimpoint PRO
BCM Gunfighter Mod 4 charging handle
    Magpul AFG2
Elzetta M60-CS2C in Gear Sector mount
VTAC/MS2 mashup sling with GGG Angular Sling Attachment

Put another 100+ rounds through it last weekend sighting in the Aimpoint. Average groups are less then 4 inches at 100 yards using the Aimpoint and firing off sandbags.

Only have a bathroom scale handy so this is not the most accurate weight. Looks like it's about 8 1/2 pounds without ammo/mag.

No finish, It's the Aimpoint Rubber Cover for a M2/M3 in FDE. Have to extend the bottom opening just a bit to the rear to get it to fit the PRO/QRP2 mount.
