Another vote for the CMC Power Mag 8s and 10s. Not a single problem at all with any of them.

I have 2 Wilson 10 rounders and they've worked without fail on my SA Loaded.

I have over 4500 rounds through my 10 round Tripp magazines and have had zero issues with any of the 12 mags I have.

Wilson Combat. One of the best. Highly recommended.

Tripp gets my vote, but I also have no experience with the Power Mags...

I have sacrificed 1 round capacity in all my Wilson mags for the Tripp upgrade (springs and followers) for all of my Wilson mags if that tells you anything. I have not tried the ETMs yet though...

    Rob,
My bad, I got my magazines confused, and I haven't followed the different ones in awhile. It's all about compromises. I like the Tripp follower better, that's why I put them in my CMC mags, but gave up 1 round.

I believe Hilton has a sticky or article on recommended mags, also.

This is one of the reasons for me for moving on, what a headache.

Just to be a smartass, if you want 10 rounds in your .45, get a M&P or H&K.

I have not had good luck with any Wilson mags. The spring seems to weaken quickly so it fails to hold the slide open when empty.

I use the Tripp super 7 spring & follower upgrades on CMC 8 round power mags. It gives me a 7 round mag that seems to work best with all of the 1911s I have tried it with and lasts very long. Credit goes to Hilton Yam for suggesting this combo on his website.

CMC Power Mags and Wilsons served me equally well. My Power Mags even worked for several shooters at BW long ago...

OK, so....based on the great input here, I should:

    Buy CMC.
    Buy Tripp.
    Buy Wilson.

Do not buy a ten round mag, you idiot, use what St. John intended: seven rounds!

    Fair summary?
