    DisconnectorHammer Sticking....

Anyone ever have an issue with the sear disconnnect and hammer freezing up?

Running my Stag carbine hard and experienced twice last weekend. There appears to be a rought place on the disconnector area that holds the hammer....

When it happens, its just like the safety is engaged....

    Never seen this one before.....

If you have spares just try another hammer and disconnector.

Have you got a super-lightened hammer spring by chance? Have seen them where the hammer spring was so weak it could not pull itself off the disconnector.

Fire control parts 'freeze-up' could be a stray primer in the lower - especially if it's a sudden event in an otherwise dependable AR. Dependable meaning several thousands of rounds fired as opposed to a few hundred. YMMV

I just had this happen last Friday...

    I have a Timney F.C.G. - 3lb.

Going back to manufacturer Monday for a swap out...don't have any spares at $200 a pop. - probably should.
